Faye Zhang reconstructs dark subject matter in a visually pleasing way with her mixed media illustrations. Her delicate linework is accompanied by textural collage elements and solid gouache paint shapes. Much like the surreal narratives that influence her, there is a quirky bounce in her compositions. She graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA degree in Illustration. She is also interested in handwritten typography and refining her digital painting skills.
